Maryam had a successful job and a good education. Her brother Saeed was doing well for himself in #Canada. In October 2008 their entire world was turned upside down. Saeed was arrested while visiting #Iran, on trumped up charges of masterminding an Internet child pornography network. He has been severely tortured. Maryam started an international campaign to demand her brother’s #freedom. She was then threatened by the authorities so she was forced to flee the country. In 2012, Saeed’s death sentence was commuted to life in prison. Now Mariam has to live away from her country and Saeed is wasting his life in Evin Prison.
